Misfat Al Abriyeen is one of the oldest village in Oman
  • Misfat Al Abriyeen

If you love listening to the silent walls of history, the abandoned village of Misfat Al Abriyeen is your right place. A green oasis surrounded by rocky mountains, it is an amazing Omani village set on mountain boulders. It gets its name from the Al Abri tribe, who came from Misfat Al Abriyeen and Al Hamra. It takes about 3 hrs drive from Muscat to Nizwa. The quaint village sits on the foothills of Jebel Shams. Plan a trip and go early, if you wish to trek the countless alleys.
